Where can you buy protein weight gain shakes?
I found some of the best protein weight gain shakes stocked on Amazon. I’ve got a list below of all the shakes I have tried during weight gain phases. They all taste great and have been tested by yours truly.
Gold Standard Gainer – Optimum Nutrition
763 calories, 50g protein
I would have one shake after a workout of Gold Standard Gainer from Optimum Nutrition. This gives you a whopping 763 calories and 50g of protein.
I would mix 4 level scoops with 325ml milk and 325ml water. The protein shake mixes well and has a great flavour. Obviously as you are adding 4 scoops it is thick and can feel quite heavy, but after a few days and as your stomach starts to get used to more food it goes down easy!
It can be a little on the pricey side, however, I found the cheapest place to buy it was on Amazon for £39.99 and next day delivery. Here’s the link to check it out.
Weight Gainer – PBN
1280 calories, 50g protein per serving
This shake tastes really good. It is recommended that you add 4 scoops to water. If this feels too heavy then you could split your portion into 2 scoops and 700ml water in the morning and then another 2 in the afternoon or evening.
This comes in at more calories than the previous, with 1280 calories per serving and 50g of protein. You could bump the calories up by adding a scoop of peanut butter or full fat yogurt.
It comes in chocolate or vanilla and is just £20.99 on Amazon. Click here to shop.
Instant Mass – Reflex Nutrition
1000 calories, 60g protein per serving
Instant Mass by Reflex Nutrition is not only high calorie, with over 1k calories per serving, but it also has 60g of protein, creatine and added vitamins.
You can blend using your hand shaker as it won’t leave lumps or that chalky taste. It goes down easy and tastes so good. This is a great value weight gain protein shake, perfect for packing on some muscle and minimal fat.
It can be really filling, so you might want to start with a half serving and increase over a couple of weeks as your appetite grows. You could even use this one to make some little snacks, such as our healthy, high protein millionaire shortbread.
